  • A chilled out space to eat, drink and play, owned by a family with little ones… so they totally get it!

The Cashew Tree, in Bingin on the Bukit, offers fresh and healthy upmarket warung style food, in a relaxed family friendly atmosphere. The staff are great at playing with the kids, and it isn’t uncommon to see the lovely owners, their little girls, their extended family and even their sweet family pooch wander on in for a chat or play.

Here the kidlets will have an absolute ball running amok on the huge grassy lawn where there is plenty of space to run, dance, chase and skip.  But once they’ve discovered the kids pavilion you may not see them for the rest of your meal (which could be kind of a bonus?).

The kids area is decked out with all sorts of toys, books, dolls, games, pencils, paper, colouring in books, whiteboard and markers, and a brightly painted old fishing boat to climb all over, so there is plenty to keep them occupied while you enjoy an un-interrupted meal, a slice of cake, or another cold Bintang or cheeky Vodka Slushie.

When the little ones are ready to sit down and eat they can choose from their very own menu which includes Indonesian fave chicken satay and rice, Mexican quesadillas, tasty corn cakes, or good old faithful pizza. And with smoothies and fresh juices to sip, and yummy fruit salad with yoghurt and honey for dessert you can be sure they are getting a healthy and balanced meal into their little tummies.

This is a fab place for families staying in the area to visit for an easy meal, snack or drink at any time of day, and a perfect option for those poor surfing widows to hang out with their offspring and meet other Mamma’s while the hubbies are off ripping it up at Bingin beach.

Check out The Cashew Tree’s Facebook page to stay up to date on all their latest happenings which includes bands, DJ’s, Balinese dancers, BBQ’s, various events and even morning yoga classes on the lawn.

HOT TIP… The family friendly Fraser Baye Villas are just a couple of minutes walk down the road.
