  • A magical spot for a relaxing day of family fun in the sun…

This has to be one of our all time favourite places to visit as a family. Yep, big call, but it totally is. We had such a beautiful day here and just fell head over heels in love with Sundays. Once you’ve been once, guaranteed you will love it too and will be planning when you can go back and visit again.

Located on the Bukit Peninsula at The Ungasan, a group of luxury villas, down a number of steps, a short and exhilarating inclinator ride down the sheer cliff face, and a few more steps.  After that you’ll find yourself on your very own private beach with turquoise blue ocean and white sand…. voila, welcome to the Gilligan’s Island-esque Sundays Beach Club.

Here the whole family can enjoy the day… swimming, paddling, snorkelling, eating, playing, relaxing, collecting shells and making sandcastles.  The Beach Pass entry fee includes the inclinator, sun-loungers, towels, wifi, complimentary water-sports hire, and buckets and spades for the kiddies. It is also partly redeemable towards your food and drink purchases, and if you spend a day here and enjoy fresh juices, cold beers, snacks and lunch then you easily get your moneys worth.

Both the service and food here are hard to fault. The staff were welcoming and helpful, and were very sweet engaging, chatting and playing with the kids.

Kids are made very welcome and are presented with their own menu that doubles as an activity sheet along with a box of crayons – a nice way to keep them entertained at the table and enjoy a little break from the sun.  All the fave kiddie fare is on offer including milkshakes, mini burgers, fish and chips, and pizza.  The Bento box is a hit and comes with a main item, veggie sticks on the side and a sweet treat for dessert.  There is also a gelato cart for the obligatory ice-cream at the beach!

And for an extra special treat, each evening at sunset they fire up the bonfire, set up the beanbags and offer marshmallows for toasting – a perfect way to finish off a perfect day!

After the sea, salt and sand, you are welcome to head back up the inclinator and enjoy a refreshing dip in the infinity pool at the top of the cliff. Just keep an eye out for the cheeky monkeys who can often be seen frolicking poolside.

    We love Sundays!
