  • Food, family, fun, and even fairy floss!

Prego, the new Italian restaurant located at the Westin Resort in Nusa Dua, hosts a Family Brunch every Sunday and all are welcome!

Here you can enjoy a complete culinary experience where you almost won’t need to eat for the rest of the week!

Start off with canapes and cold meats, move on to the oysters, prawns and seafood, then to the fresh Italian pastas, or perhaps a taste of traditional Sunday roast, or some grilled fish from the BBQ, then a cheese platter, oh and there’s salads, bread and pizzas too.  But make sure you take a break between courses, enjoy an excellent Illy coffee made by the funky barista, and then move on to the desserts… oh the desserts! Sweet tooth’s will be in seventh heaven with the array of cakes, pastries, brownies, doughnuts, puddings, gelato, and even a chocolate fondue fountain too!

The small guests have the choice of eating at the table with their parents or in their very own buffet area complete with colourful kid sized tables and chairs, a play kitchen and a selection of kiddie faves including DIY mini burgers, steamed veggies, fries, triangle sandwiches, fresh fruit and of course some petite sweet treats too.

Our tiny diners started off at the table with us as we like to eat together, but then of course gravitated over to the kids area. Once they had eaten, they were then free to play, under the watchful eye of the incredible staff who happily played and entertained them while we could continue on sampling the many courses on offer.

There is a kids corner set up with beanbags, TV and video games, however the outdoor play area was what our kidlets were most interested in – where they could run around on the soft green grass, bounce on the trampoline, kick the soccer ball and then participate in supervised games and activities where they could also win little prizes.

With the buffet style food, the sweet and helpful staff and the casual, family friendly nature of the brunch, we easily spent a few hours at Prego, enjoying a leisurely break between courses and hanging out and having fun with the kids too – it is a family brunch after all!

To top it all off the famous Prego mascot, Pipo the squirrel, made an appearance and after the fun and games outside there was a Fairy Floss machine! It was the first time our girls tried it, and surprisingly after one bite they weren’t so keen… which meant Mamma got to relive her childhood and enjoy finishing off the sugary sweet pink delight!

Each month there is a different theme for the brunches (eg: Environment, Sport, Harry Potter etc) and this is carried through with the food, decorations and activities for the kids.

    Prego – you’re welcome!

HOT TIP… When you book in for the brunch, you are also welcome to stay for the day with free access to the swimming pool, making a whole day of it.  The perfect way to spend a Sunday Funday with the fam!
