  • Vintage charm, old school treats and a touch of Melbourne cafe culture…

This new Drupadi spot just oozes old school warmth and charm. It’s cute, casual, friendly and relaxed, which makes for a perfect spot for hungry families to sit down and indulge.

Everything here is homemade with love – from the cordials (we recommend the lime and ginger – so refreshing!), to the jams, the chutneys, the dips, and of course the treats.

Oh the treats… where do we begin? The ever changing list of decadent daily specials can include old school goodness such as chocolate crackles, honey-joys, big fat fudgy brownies, zingy lemon slice, hedgehog slice and ginger crunch.

The breakfast and lunch menu is great too, with a variety of flavours influenced by the Mauritian/Australian owner. Corn fritters for brekkie, simple well made sausage rolls, Kreol Platters of dahl, curries, rice and raita, and even good old Vegemite and cheese wraps.  And for the Melbournites… South Melbourne Market style dimmies too!

Vintage ornaments and op-shop finds adorn the cosy cafe space, and a view out the large back windows of the lush rice paddies creates a cool breeze, making for a lovely spot to sit, eat, chat, laugh and relax.
