  • Fresh & tasty Thai fusion food for the whole family…

We first discovered Kats Kitchen a few years back when we stayed at the stunning Indah Balangan Villa as it was recommended as a delivery option. Our takeaway dinner complete with love-heart shaped nasi was so darn good – fresh and cheap – that we have since ordered it many more times whilst staying at other villas on the Bukit.  So when we stayed in Jimbaran recently a dinner out at the original Kats Kitchen was at the top of our list!

It’s BYO and we had some leftover Champagne from a recent wedding we had attended, so armed with our chilled bottle of bubbles and coloured pencils and paper for the kids, off we went for family din-dins.

The atmosphere is colourful, relaxed and welcoming, with various seating options including cushion clad wooden daybeds, and with the late afternoon sunshine streaming in through the windows a gorgeous golden glow was cast upon the restaurant.

It is a great option for families and groups as it is quite spacious, is fully enclosed with air-conditioning, has a smoking section outside (not inside!), has highchairs for the little ones, and some simple non-Thai options for fussy kids on the menu eg: chicken or fish with chippies.

There are plenty of other menu options that are also suitable for the little ones – spring rolls, money bags and mild chicken and veggie curries with rice.

They have a delicious array of daily cakes in the glass cabinet and a selection of ice cream for dessert too – a standard after-dinner treat if our tiny diners eat their din-dins.

If you are staying in the area then we think dinner here should be at the top of your list too!   Or perhaps an easy takeaway dinner, a cheap and cheerful lunch, or coffee and cake during the day. They are also well-known for their delicious Iced lemon and ginger teas too!

Kats Kitchen have two locations – the one in Jimbaran we dined at and another at Jalan Raya Uluwatu no 132, Ungasan.
