Dian Cafe is a simple warung located at Echo Beach, right next to the famous (or is it infamous) Echo Beach House Cafe. Sometimes we dine next door at Beach House, sometimes Dian Cafe, sometimes even both – with different members of our group at the same table ordering off different menus. It’s just a laidback, simple, anything goes, kinda place, with quick and easy service with a smile from owner Wayan and the sweet staff.
Order yourself an icy cold Bintang (served in the obligatory stubby holder) and a plate of Nasi Goreng, and a juice, bottle of fizz or milkshake for the kids along with a burger or fish and chips, and you can be guaranteed an easy tea that the whole family will love and certainly won’t break the bank.
Soak up the surfie vibe, enjoy some serious people watching, give the dogs under your table a chippie or two and say Hi to our old friend Nyoman selling the sarongs along with her two cheeky monkey sons. And go on, while you’re at it, buy a couple from her too.
A simple spot to catch a stunning sunset in a prime position for a fraction of the price compared to other popular sunset watering holes.
Another, slightly larger Dian Cafe outlet is also located in Canggu at the end of Jl Batubolong.
