  • A fun and unique way to learn more about the culture of Bali and Indonesia

Dinner and a show – what a special treat! We turned the whole night into an exciting adventure for our little peeps – getting dressed up and putting on pretty dresses, popping our tickets in little purses then heading out first for aperitivo and an early dinner before being chauffeured to the Nusa Dua Theatre.

The Devdan Show is like nothing we had ever seen before –  a stunning combo of Cirque Du Soleil style acrobatics, break-dancing, hip hop, ballet, traditional dance and puppetry, special effects, lighting, water and fire all rolled in to one highly professional and thoroughly enjoyable jam-packed 90 minute production.

The central storyline follows the travels of a young boy and girl (played by actual children) throughout their adventures in Indonesia – from Bali to Sumatra, to Java, Borneo and Papua.

Having two child characters definitely helped keep the kids in the audience more engaged, as did the audience participations and the cheeky monkeys – keep an eye out for them!

The show will appeal to all ages of adults and children alike. The Little Bali Love girls have seen the show twice now, and loved it both times. They were in total awe of the amazing dancers, music and colourful costumes, and still talk often about their favourite acts.

The Devdan Show offers a unique way for your children to learn more about both Balinese culture and the island they are holidaying on, as well as the other varying cultures that make up the archipelago of Indonesia.

There’s “paparazzi” out the front of the theatre who will snap you on your way in, and then you can collect and pay for your photo afterwards.   Also at the end of the show some of the cast pop out the front of the theatre for another quick photo opp.

If you are staying at one of the resorts in Nusa Dua or Benoa then getting to the theatre is super easy. And if you are staying over the Seminyak side we still highly recommend it for a fun cultural family night out, and with the new toll-roads getting to this side of the island is now even easier!

Adult tickets range from Rp 520,000 up to 1,560,000 for VIP tickets and children’s tickets are half price. Transport to and from the theatre is included in the price.

Family Package tickets are also available, so check the website for special offers and group discounts.

The show starts at 7.30pm and runs for 90 minutes with no interval.

    • Hot Tip: The theatre is not huge, so we think any seat would still offer a good view of the stage which means the cheaper C tickets are still an excellent and more affordable option.
