Climb in the trees like a monkey, fly like a flying fox, and swing like Tarzan…
Bali Treetop Adventure Park is one of my favourite places to go in Bali! It’s quite a long drive from where I live In Umalas, but totally worth it. There are courses all located at various heights of the canopy, with courses that run from tree to tree. There are six different circuits, which go from smallest to highest, starting with Yellow Squirrel circuit for 4 to 6 year olds, and finishing with the thrilling Black Adrenalin circuit.
My favourite is the Red circuit (for 10 year olds and over), because it has a huge flying fox and a really cool Tarzan swing from high up in a tree to a vertical net. Before you get onto the course the staff give you a harness for you to clip onto the wires between the trees. You really have to keep your wits about you, as it’s a rule to always have one clip on so just in case you fall, you’ll be suspended by the wires.
One of the things that makes Treetops so great is how nice the Botanical Gardens are. Treetops is right in the centre of the gardens, but there is also plenty of wide-open spaces to run around and picnic in. One of my favourite things about the Botanical Gardens is the beautiful Hindu monument in the centre of the gardens.
The service in Treetops is lovely, everyone is super friendly and helpful. My little sister has been stuck on a course a couple of times, and the staff just clamber up the trees like monkeys and have her out in a heartbeat.
There are no Cafes in the gardens, so come prepared with a picnic to enjoy on the lush green grass with the blue skies and fresh air. There are also plenty of local ladies around that sell beautiful fresh locally grown strawberries to munch on!
When you go to Treetops it’s always smart to go on a day that’s not an Indonesian National holiday, as the gardens get swarmed. We love going on a quiet Monday if we have the choice!
All in all, Treetops is a great place to go as a family to have some fun, and it’s a great workout too!
Open daily from 8.30am to 6pm
